美國東部5個州於當地時間26日(週二)舉行大選共和、民主兩黨初選。目前，民主黨的參選人希拉蕊拿下賓夕法尼亞州，取得第3場勝利。共和黨的參選人川普橫掃全部5州。
中新網27日綜合報導，在26日舉行初選的5個州分別為康乃狄克、馬里蘭、賓夕法尼亞、特拉瓦、羅德島州。共和黨方面，儘管卡西奇(John Kasich)與克魯茲(Ted Cruz)聯手配票，企圖拉下川普(Donald Trump)，但終究未能如願，根據美國媒體此前公佈的消息，川普已毫無疑問的在這5個州取勝。至今川普共拿下927張選舉人票，他獲得提名門檻為1237張選舉人票。
民主黨方面，繼馬利蘭州和特拉瓦州後，前國務卿希拉蕊(Hillary)再在賓夕法尼亞州獲勝，其競爭對手桑德斯(Bernie Sanders)只拿下羅德島州。目前希拉蕊已獲得2089張選舉人票，桑德斯只有1258張，26日5州選舉，希拉蕊將繼續保持領先。
在26日的初選中，共和黨和民主黨將分別在東部5州爭奪172和464個黨代表席位。此前有分析指出，如果民主黨的希拉蕊和共和黨的川普勝出，將進一步確定他們爭取黨內總統候選人提名的勝算。
